Hi, all.

Is there any website I can buy the XT-IDE Universal BIOS on a 27C256 EPROM? I don't have an EPROM programmer or any EPROMs, and I don't want to buy one just for this. I see that TexElec sells said BIOS on a 32-pin IC [1], but all my EPROM sockets on my ISA cards are 28-pins. There is a guy who sells it on eBay [2], but he's located in New Zealand, and I'm in the US (the ROM is $8, but the shipping is $35). Maybe someone can make one for me, and I'll buy it from them? Thanks!

Because it needs to be configured using XTIDECFG, you wouldn't want a generic copy. You could try XUBDisk to get it configured the way you want, before asking someone to program an EPROM.

popcalent, if you're in the NYC/NJ metro area I can help out. PM me your configured ROM. (Why did that sound dirty?)

I had no idea it could be configured. I bought the ISA card from TexElec and it just worked. So I want it configured the same way. Now I want the same BIOS in a 28-pin chip so I can put it in a socket I have on another card I'm using so I can save one ISA slot.

Hey! Thanks for your offer. I live in Illinois, though.
