Hey guys, I have this sound card, sound blaster CT 4820.

What are these two connectores from the right of the photo? These names are CN1 and CN2. What can I connect to these two connectors?
I can't get a pinout from these two connectors.

Thanks a lot.

That's a model 4520, not 4820.

There is a jumper manual on Retro Web that lists all the connectors: https://theretroweb.com/expansioncard/documen … ation/54570.pdf

OK, but this manual says just "Feature connector CN1" so what can I connect to it?

The card in photo is an AWE64 and the connectors CN1/CN2 are used in pairs and are used to connect memory expansion for the AWE64.

Creative made memory expansion in various sizes and charged a premium for it (for the AWE32, they used common 72-pin RAM sockets, which were non-proprietary and therefore less profitable for Creative).

Today, with a SIMCONN, you can use common 72-pin RAM to expand the memory of your AWE64 (up to a maximum of 28 MB using a 32 MB stick).
