Looking for Plextor's DOS drivers

Hello everyone,

I recently bought an old Plextor 6-plex SCSI drive from 1995.

Reading the docs, I discovered that it was originally sold with a very specific DOS driver called "plextor.sys".

Despite all my searches I couldn't find an image or copy of the driver floppy that was sold at that time with this hardware.

Neither could I find the specific plextor.sys file.

Therefore I'd like to know if one of you still has a copy of this driver and if so if he could share it with me.

Any help appreciated.

Never heard of that driver. But you don't really need it. You can use the drivers from your SCSI card. Example for my Dawicontrol DC-2976 UW SCSI card:

DEVICE=C:\SCSI\ASPI8XX.SYS
DEVICE=C:\SCSI\SYMCD.SYS /D:PLEXCD01

You also need MSCDEX of course in your autoexec.bat. This works great for my SCSI Plextor CD-RW (PX-W1210TS).

This a french association that is devoted to preserve old hardware. They have thousands of old drivers on their ftp. Real gold mine. Take a look.
