Compaq would have released them as a SoftPaq so you will have to find an archive of those with an index that describes the files so you can get the one you need.

Depending on your requirements you can use a generic VBE video driver as well, it might not support all the features but should get you high colour and correct resolution.

I've been trying to find the right one, but everything leads me to a dead end, it seems like the drivers for a ATI Rage Mobility P just vanished

It's the Compaq Armada E500, sorry for saying m500 on the title, I have the Pentium III config with an ATI Rage Mobility P, I even tried finding the drivers in the Vogons drivers, but I can't really find it, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but this is my third day looking for them

I've never worked before with a machine this old, this is my first time working with a laptop from 1999 🤣, I wasn't very sure if I could use another kind of driver because I didn't wanted to risk going through another Win95 install, but if the rage 3 drivers work I'll take a look when I get home, thanks!

All maybe dont work, but many do. You can use my latest driver and please let me know if its not working for you. My driver likes directx6/7.

I bought a Armada E500 a week or two ago. Yet to test it though.

AMD has legacy drivers on their website. Under Legacy Graphics, Rage Series, "Rage PRO". WIn98/ME are the earliest. https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html

Most of these machines are built for Windows 98. They should have a sticker on them...

Will update it soon, i added some addons (wing api and 2 color mode), but core is the same, so you are good.
