Hello everyone.

Found some floppy images in the wild and unable to mount them using Dosbox, or open them with WinImage, weird.

Here 2 different examples.

The attachment floppy.zip is no longer available

Content looks like common MS-DOS floppy, but header unusual. How to convert them to normal format, or grab files from them?

In 2003, I voted in favour of joining the European Union. However, due to later developments - especially the restrictions on cash usage - I have withdrawn my support. DOWN WITH THE EU!

These are images generated with HD-COPY which by default does some kind of compression and WinImage does not recognize them. Besides using HD-COPY, you can use IMG 1.2e by Falk Huth (IMG1_21E.ZIP 75,776 bytes) to extract the files and E0X 2002.06.30 by Veit Kannegieser (E0X.ARJ 48,567 bytes) (source) to mount the image.

You can use DOSBox to use IMG but you may need to use PCem, 86Box or real hardware to use E0X.
