Ok, FTP2P now uses upstream mTCP as a Git submodule.
It is still v3.5, because nothing has changed in the FTP2P code since the last release. I am quite satisfied with the result already. 😀
If you need the build details, please see the README / build notes in the repository.

Nice choice.

There are people out there saying it becomes insane to manage build lifecycle when submodules are present. I think it's just best to decouple dependencies.

Personally, I don’t usually like submodules in larger projects either, but in this case there’s only one, and it fits perfectly.

Given that mTCP doesn't change that often it is probably a safe choice to use it as a dependency. I'm also fairly careful not to make breaking changes to APIs, so it should be safe.

Thanks for doing this - now I have a great example to point other people to!

3.7 is out.
I think this is pretty much where I wanted FTP2P to end up, so I'm calling it done. 😀
Thanks everyone for all the testing, feedback, suggestions and encouragement. It was a lot of fun, and the discussion here, and especially in email, was a big help in getting it to where it is now.
I'll keep an eye on it and fix anything serious that comes up, but no more major features planned for now.

Thanks again!

Hola!

Error "Error refreshing pannel"

Tx for the software, looks very promising!
I installed it in a pentium 120, with a Etherlink 3C905C-TX-M nic, in freedos 1.4, and is starts and connects with the client, but, is stuck with the error "Error refreshing pannel". Let me know if you need me to test, happy to help.
