Is there a way to make DBGL put all the dosbox configuration settings, etc into the individual game profiles (like defend reloaded does)? I have specific need to do this. I tried to manually force it by pasting into the games .conf file only to have DBGL rewrite it.

Yes, this is possible with DBGL - Extended Edition 0.101 alpha 42 as a new feature.

The setting can be activated in the profile editor for each existing profile separately. Right click on profile -> Edit -> DOSBox -> scroll down to the bottom.
You can also set it as default for every new profile you want to create : Menu -> Preferences -> General -> scroll down to the bottom.
