bollocks, and they can go screw themselves . The more DRM gets into programs, the more they ruin the gaming experience. Jesus, when will they ever learn. That people want to play and not install crap with the game. Anyway my rant is over. It is just sad that games get ruined by so much anti piracy BS and programs that royally fucks up one´s computer.

At least they aren't limiting the number of installations which has been my biggest complaint with Securom. To be honest I haven't had any issues with Secrom itself so far. I have had it on my system since I bought Bioshock the day of launch and didn't know about the new form of DRM it had.

A secondary concern is that I have seen where some have had problems with it due to emulation software. I also have Kings Bounty that uses Securom for it's DVD check and saw several complaints about that on their board. It seems like an update triggered the issue where it refuses to run due to emulation software so I haven't updated my copy since I do have Daemon Tools installed, which I find useful for a number of things.

I have refused to buy any game that has had limited installs. Ideally I would prefer no DRM but as long as I can install it and reinstall it on any number of PCs now and in the future I am OK with that. A DVD check is one of the least onerous protections, though I would still prefer to install it and put the disk up and not risk damaging it.

Despite all the anti-copyright schemes in place rumour has it that the game has in fact already been cracked and seems to be downloadable from various warez sites. For illegal players Rockstar will have some sort of surprise ready. Apart from the risk of containing Trojans when using cracked software supposedly the game software is able to sense if it is running in illegal mode and will actually cause changes in the game-play that could be comical in nature but could also prevent the game from being finished.

May have to wait a week or two to determine if the NOCD/NOSECUROM cracks work properly. 🙁

Too bad Rockstar, if you didn't release a shitty port and waste of money/time DRM then you would have gotten my money. Your plan worked, consoles are your future so stick with it.

Nearly as bad as the DRM, they are making you sign up for Rockstar Social Club and Microsoft Live before you can install it.
