I'm not able to install Hardball 5 on my Win2K system. It says that I need to have a SVGA video card so that it can run at some resolution. I have no idea what to do to install it.

Welcome to the NT-based Windows. You _do_ have a "SVGA" video card but the newer Windows don't support all of the DOS-based SVGA (VESA) displays. Don't know of an easy fix for this (I've heard of refusing to run because of SVGA, but not refusing to install).

Are you trying to install this in a DosBox window? If so, try making it full-screen before starting the install. If that doesn't do it, you have other options...but it could be kind of messy (VESA emulation or Filecopy from a DOS/Win9x machine).

Make sure you maximize the window BEFORE you run the installer. This will most likely resolve the problem. You can also try a "/NOUNIVBE" switch. It probably won't do anything, but it's worth a shot.

Yes, it’s my fault.
