But the cue sheets are identical except for the mode1/mode2 thing, right?

Are you able to create some mode2-cuesheet with mixed mode cds or
regular data cds? As that's what i failed at, always came out as mode1.

Problem is, can't figure out how to create a cue-sheet directly from the CD using ImgBurn, only from an already created image. And that seems kinda pointless doesn't it? If the info is already in the image-file, why create a cue-sheet?

I wouldn't know how to identify such CD's. The only time I managed to have ImgBurn create a cue-file directly from the CD was with an normal audio CD.

I'm talking about that IsoBuster only, as that one seems to be the app that generates those mode2 sheets.
