This question has been posted before, but none of the answers have helped me.

I just bought the collection of LSL (compatible with XP) and have so far completed 1-5 (without any problems). However, with LSL6 (talkie version) I've got some problems. My main one at this moment is that the game hangs when I'm trying to fill the lavalamp. This is apparently a common error that Al Lowe even tried to solve on his website. Unfortunately the solution he gives is already utilized.

I've tried to slow DosBox down, but that doesn't work.

Did anyone have the same problems and how did you solve it?

Any help would be appreciated.

The "XP compatible" collection did not come with the talkie version of LSL6. I don't believe that the patch for that error is for the talkie version.

True the collection didn't come with the talkie version. I already owned it, but I figured that the config file in the DosBox supplied with the collection would be sufficient to get it to work. (Which it did btw)

The version of DOSBox included with the collection is ancient. Try this LSL6 CD installer that will setup the game to run in DOSBox .72.

No such luck. Still hangs exactly in the same spot.

The save probably still has the bug. Just back up to an earlier save.

I've tried an earlier save and also started again from scratch. Neither worked. I know it's not the CD because it worked in the 'old' days.
