If I were to buy a copy of "The Ultimate Doom" through:
http://www.idsoftware.com/games/doom/doom-ult … ame_section=buy

Would I be able to run it through DosBox? It's important that I can because I have a mac and I can't run PC games any other way.

Or if I can't actually run "The Ultimate Doom" are there .wad files that come with it that I could run with the shareware version of doom through dosbox?

I'm pretty sure that's the Windows port and therefore wouldn't tun on DOSBox. Although the DOS version MIGHT be included on the CD, it's probably not worth 20$ to find out.

Might wanna send ID a quick email and ask for further details about the disc, they can answer your questions about this particular version.

in any case, if it is Doom95, at least you have the .WAD. Doom and Doom 2 .wad files can work with shareware DOS executables. (Not final doom though)

System Requirements say Windows 95/98/ME/ 2000 operating system.

If you buy it and get the WAD files, you can use them with a Doom source port like Doom Legacy that's Mac OS X native.
