To get it to work, all one has to do is run the install, then set MIDI playback in the control panel to the Timidity++ driver.

Kudos for the easy installer. The feeling that follows is a strong desire to hunt down the developers and blugeon them to death. There are multiple config files to multiple exes along with multiple config file locations. The timw32g etc. exe's are dupes of the same player which has many options that can set in the menu options. What's wanted is to be able to apply those multitude of options to the timidity driver that dosbox will use. First is to match which config goes to the driver; setwindrvr points to it. Setwindrvr sets which sound font used and config location. The help file is limited to describing the menus of doing those simple steps. The config file itself is bare, containing only those base settings. The big mystery is how to set the multitude of settings set via the timidity.cfg that can be set from the timw32g menus. There is no listing, description, help, or example config with the options in comments given. If anyone has an option list and arguments for setting options in timidity.cfg, it would be much appreciated.

Onto the playback issue, there's a huge delay for many games, like fate of the atlantis, that I was wondering if anyone has resolved.

They're so close, documenting how to apply settings in timidity.cfg and fixing the hanging, and timidity would be a polished project.
