I just downloaded DosBox a few days ago, loving the program, but when I try to load up Links386 Pro now, it gives me the following error message in the DOS prompt:

Phar Lap Err 58: Can't create VM Swap file size of 0 in directory C:\LINKS386.SWP

Any thoughts?

Did you mount a C drive in DOSBox?
Tried running LOADFIX before starting the game?
Tried fiddling with the xms, ems, umb settings?
Changed memsize?
Change core?

Finally, read my 60 Seconds Guide to DOSBox (and don't just read it - follow it too).

If that doesn't help, come back with details on how you mounted your C and D drives, how you did the install, how you configured sound, music etc.

Reading the aptly named README file will be a good idea too.

Create an empty file in your root DOS games directory (e.g. if Links is installed in C:\DOSGames\Links386 that would be C:\DOSGames), and name it links386.swp. Make sure the file isn't write protected.

Thanks for the tips guys, I just ended up uninstalling/reinstalling DosBox. Fixed.
