Has anyone played this game? It's quite bad, in places. For example, when your character (named Doralice) appears on screen, you only see her eyes, nose and hair. Her mouth has been covered up. I suspect this was done because her lip movement didn't look convincing enough with all the dialogue she says throughout the game. Also, if you look closely at her hair, about 50% of it is "painted on" - all of it on the right hand side of her head.

Oh, and some of the puzzles are insane. And the music's quite bad too, which I still can't turn off.

(The other day, before playing this game, I tried "Flight of the Amazon Queen", which I thought was really good!)

Sorry, no solution, but I can confirm that the music can only be turned off in the disk version. For some reason "> music" is not clickable in the CD release.

The CD version apparently uses CD audio for both music and speech. If you're using a mounted image, you can turn the volume all the way down with a "MIXER CDAUDIO 0:0" command in DOSBox, however you'll lose virtually all sound. Perhaps the fact that the music is not separate from the other audio is why it can't be disabled in the CD version. There is a floppy version of the game where turning the music off might actually work because then it would likely be FM or MIDI.
