Haven't had time to install it yet (user decided to bring me a non-company laptop to fix.....).

So far it looks like this version of VPC does not support Windows 2000/XP. (The installer uses a .MSU extension which is Vista+ only).

It also looks like it doesn't want to install on Vista but that may be easily circumvented. (Likely a restriction in the installer)

Looking at it this may just be a highly customized version of Virtual PC just for Windows 7 intended mainly for the "Virtual Windows XP" feature.

Hopefully a more full featured version of Virtual PC will come out.

It also looks like it does require hardware virtualization.

Probably no good for a lot of people (those lacking a CPU that supports hardware virtualization and/or not running Vista). The Vista requirement may dissapear but I'm not really sure that Microsoft see this [product] as anything more than a way to support WinXP under Windows 7.
