i'm new to this so i'm sorry if i'm in the wrong place. I've just bought a boxed version of frontier elite 2 off the net, and bought a usb floppy disc to run the game. i tried running the game, but had a problem as it would'nt run. so i went on the net, and was directed to dosbox. i downloaded dosbox 0.72 and put the game in an 'oldgames folder' but it still wont run. i clicked on the install in the old games folder but still nothing 😢 could someone PLEASE help me play one of the best games ever made (that is my opinion). i am running on a laptop running vista.

Read my 60 Seconds Guide to DOSBox (and don't just read it - follow it too).

Since you are using a diskette, you will need to modify the CD-mount command.

Use something like MOUNT A "A:\" -t floppy

If that doesn't help, come back with details on how you mounted your C and D drives, how you did the install, how you configured sound, music etc.

Reading the aptly named README file will be a good idea too.

😊 😊 THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH. I followed your 60 second guide, and in a short time, it was done.

I copied both diskettes onto a cd rom, and then followed your guide on how to mount it. That done i checked it with dir, found the install and installed.

Cracking Guide - AWESOME SITE.

if more people knew about this site and DOSBOX, there would be a lot more 'very happy old time gamers' out there. 😊 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁
