Ok, I'm new to this and I'm only learning to use Dosbox so please be gentle if I'm asking stupid questions.

Playing Legend of Kyrandia 1 in Defend Reloaded and it crashes every single time I enter a specific screen (the one where the chalice is) and I need the chalice from that screen in order to get any further in the game.

I've managed to find someone else's saved games online and downloaded the one directly after the point where I keep crashing. I've saved it in the game folder and it's showing up in the file list right next to the rest of the save games, but when I go to load a game in LoK, it's not there.

Does anyone have any idea of how I can solve either problem? Thanks.

You might have a missing/corrupt file. Try reinstalling it from the original CD or floppies. You could also try ScummVM.

I downloaded the game so will try getting another copy and using that.

I have scummvm as well, it's just that I was a little over half way through it when it decided not to run that screen and I'm not patient enough to start the game from scratch if there's any other option. Scummvm won't let me load saved games either.

Thanks for the suggestion though, will give it a crack. 😀
