I got a problem with the colour when I put it on full-screen. When I press alt + enter, I go into a full-screen mode, but when I go and play the game, I wait until I play a game, and then the screen has some weird colours. I have an Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT graphics card (that includes directx 10), and my computer is AMD..... Can anybody solve my problem???

Check the configuration file (start->programs->dosbox-0.73->configuration->edit configuration) and look what the value for "output" is set to. If this is "surface", try something like "ddraw". Surface mode has problems in full-screen mode in Windows Vista.

Well thanks for the support. I tried OpenGL instead of ddraw, since OpenGL has the greater advantages. I also set the screen to full-screen and fixed the screen up.

The problem with running 256 (8-bit) color applications in Vista/Win7 is that Explorer corrupts the color palette. You can kill explorer.exe in the task manager and it will work fine, but changing the renderer and/or playing in windowed mode is a better solution.

True...... If only there was some way that I could play "Age of Empires 2" without having the weird colours.
