hey yes another newbie..🤣 we ll im having problems with my DOSBOX it wont allow me to put in the charactors : and \ for some resoan or another, im wantng to use DOSBOX to play daggerfall but i can not mount anything with out thos two charactors. when i do press : it goes to this ;
picture shows whats on the screen when it starts up other peoples look diffrent to mine when they start up 😒

heres whats in my conf.

oka iv sorted out that thnks 😀

but i still cant type in : and \ into the commands 🙁

There is a file called "README.txt" included with DOSBox. It's also linked to from the Start menu. It has a section called FAQ for Frequently Asked Questions. One of those questions is literally "Q: I can't type \ or : in DOSBox."

That might be a good place to look for a solution.

right none of them seemed to work n some of them i didnt know how to do due to code editing.. but the ALT-92 and ALT-52 im trying but not sure if u do
c/ALT-92 or c/ ALT-92? just example

ALT-key plus the numeric keys from the numeric keypad. E.g. ALT-6, ALT-5 (65) should give you an A, ALT-6, ALT-6 (66) should give a B.

hmm yh thats not working 😐 iv tryed to put it in using the maping thing but it will not allow me to put anything in 🙁 all iv had is problems with vista 😦

update: right iv got the \ to work by adding it to #
but now i cant find on the mapper where the : is

I'm on a Mac and the Alt-5 thing do work within DOSBox.

Hold down the Alt key while you type the numeric keys.
