I downloaded a number of old games and thought I could run them on Vista using DOSBox. I found some instructions here: http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/Basic_Setup_and_In … ation_of_DosBox
I followed everything asked but when I try to run the game, it brings me back to the previous line.
I know I'm doing something right because I can run the DOSINST.EXE, I can run the README, and even though it's an error, I get a response from the WINST.EXE file. But I try to run the actual game, and I get this...
Z:\>MOUNT C C:\OldGames
Drive C is mounted as local directory C:\OldGames\
Z:\>C:
C:\>CD PRIN
C:\PRIN>PM2.exe
C:\PM2>
And it keeps cycling back to C:\PM2>. According to the wiki instruction page, it should be running after typing the .exe file as a command.
Now, in the properties, the .exe file states that it has 0 bytes. When I do actually click on the file normally, instead of flashing the command prompt or opening up anything, it states that its, "not a valid Win32 application." I thought that was odd. I don't have a virus/invalid game do I?
