Glidos with Eidos downloadable version of TRUB

Hi guys, I promised to be back 😉

Now I can play great with TR, I decided to get into UB that I never tried (imagine how lucky I'm 😁)

So, as I only have the "standard" version of TR, I went to EIDOS site and downloaded the free copy of UB, installed it, run a dos box with VDMS, run TRUB :
Great. It's working 😀

Then I downloaded the 3DFX version of Tombub.exe from Dracman's site, and put it in c:\Tombraid

Tried to run it through Glidos : Told me the CD was not in. OK! I only have standard TR CD.

I took a look on Glidos.ini, get rid of CDCheckFile line, tried again :
I entered in this time, but surprisingly I got the TRUB menu but with the TR "image" and music (not the TRUB one).

Then, when I selected "New Game", I went out of the game (back to Windows, with Glidos server running)

Is there any problem running TRUB through Glidos without a TR Gold CD (I mean, only with standard TR CD as we can do in a DOS box) ?
If it's possible, any other idea of the problem ?

I put back herunder my config :

- IBM ThinkPad T23 Type 2647 Model 9RG
- Mother Board : ? - did'nt find the info
- Processor : Mobile Intel Pentium III - 1,2 GHz
- Memory : 512 Mb SDRAM
- Video : S3 Graphics SuperSavage/iXC 1014 - 16 Mb memory
- Audio : Crystal WDM audio
- OS : Windows 2000 SP 3 (5.0.2195)
- Video Mode : Full Acceleration
- Game : Tomb Raider (standard edition - french)

If TR works, TRUB should too. I've no problem running both online and CD versions of TRUB. The advantage of running the online version with your original TR CD (instead of the Gold CD) is that you get the audio tracks to play correctly.

I'm using the following settings in my Glidos.ini file:

Well, that was my feeling too. If TR works fine, why should it be different for TRUB ?

My settings are very close from yours :

Works for TR, not for UB 😕

Do you have the TR Gold CD onto your PC when trying, or standard TR like I do ?

Right in the middle.

With the "trub3dfx.exe" package from the German Eidos site, everything goes well 😁

Actually, I initially downloaded the "trubsoft.exe", which is the "standard" one, and checked I could play in a dos box, which works.
Then I took the "3dfxtombub.zip" from the Dracman's site link. The size of the .exe correspond to the second one registered in the Glidos.ini file, but it do not worked on my config.

As soon as I get out of the ($\~`^#) registration process of PayPal, I will go into those new levels 😜 😜
