I am trying to run an old program from 1988 (Yes it will still be useful!) but I get this error:

? Error: Data format error in file USER
Error Code 1273, Status 000E
PC = 087B: AD7A; SS = 3302, FP = 0002, SP=AD70

The Title screen appears but then nothing happens.

I hit "Enter" a couple of times and then the error message appears.

I am using DOSBox 0.73.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
