I haven't been able to play ANY game in DOSBox with a mouse. the original cursor in xp is visible over the DOSBox. when I move the mouse, the xp cursor moves normal. The cursor in DOSBox swings wildly through the window. I have tried completely disabling the joystick to no avail. I have tried lowering sensitivity. I got it to 5 before it slowed down and I could see what it was doing, but it still isn't going the right way. A tiny movement of the mouse sends the DOSBox cursor to the other side of the window.
This has happened in several different games.

what is your mouse? usb/ps2/serial? what brand? do you use original drivers for it or the windows ones? try to use latest original drivers from your manufacturer, or uninstalling them if you already use the latest ones. Try to use a different mouse to check whether it helps.
