the guys of daggerfall have their own instructions for installing it inside DOSBox.
It works perfect if you stick to those.

Using the correct label when mounting the CDROM is imperative. Just stick to Bethesda's installation instructions as pointed out by Qbix.

hey i D/L daggerfall from bethesda, then i D/L DOSbox and im now stumped as i have a MAC and the instructions are for PC, is there any where i can get a translation for these instructions or are they just the same for both OS

Instructions inside DOSBox would be the same except for the mount points. Outside of DOSBox you need to use whatever extraction program is available on OSX to unzip .zip's.

Hey it's all good now I D/L boxer.app for my mac and it did all the leg work for me all I had to do was select sound card and enter cd/dagger
dagger at the end, thanks anyway I apprieciate the lightning responce to my post.

Hey AngelOfPain, one of my friends have the same problem.
To install you have to do this:

-mount your DFCD folder as cdrom by type in:
mount e d:\check\daggerfall\1\dfcd\ -t cdrom -ioctl -label Daggerfall
( letter "e" is just an example )

-mount your Folder where you want to install it to
And here maybe occurs a problem! When you try to install daggerfall the setup says that you don't have enough space on your harddisk. To install daggerfall without problems mount your games folder like this:

mount c d:\games\ -freesize 2000

With this you set up your mounted drive "C:" with 2000 Mbyte free diskspace.

Now change to "E" and run the install program.
It should work now. And every time you want to play daggerfall you have to mount DFCD first like above. Make a batch file doing this 😁
