I am trying to play life and death 2 on the newest version of DOSBOX

I am trying to use a joystick (have mouse but its too boring 🤣 ) the stick works fine untill I get in the OR, then the cursor stops moving but I can still do things (like pick up and using equipment) just the cursor stops moving.

the joystick is the logitech extreme 3d pro, I have tried unplugging the mouse (both mouse and stick are usb, thought that would fix it) but it didnt.

Ok, I tried life and death 1 and I get a runtime error and DOSBOS locks up when the operation starts, before then evreything works completely fine.

and if I just use the mouse or keyboard it still works fine and I can do the operation, just how can I get it working with my joystick?

I got the game from abandonia, should I just deleate it and try a different copy?

Yep. You should get an original copy. Abandonware/downloaded copies aren't supported here.
