I'm having a firescreen problem when set it to original there are black bars on each end and when I set it to my native resolution (1600x900) the image apes smaller then the dosbox window.

The black bars are due to aspect=true or your monitor set to not stretch images.
What's your output set to? You could try changing it, see if it fixes the "small" image.

my output=surface changing it to overlay fixes the problem.
