The game runs way to fast and CNTRL F11 is not slowing it down....

Change cycles to fixed and then use ctrl-f11.

Hint. There is a chapter called '10. How to speed up/slow down DOSBox:' in the documentation.
The new system of having ctrl+f11/f12 adjust CPU usage percentages when cycles=max is definitely going to be confusing to new users of DOSBox who are looking for ways to slow their game down. There's lots of information out there telling people to just hit ctrl+f11 a few times (see here for an example: The Newbie's Pictorial Guide To DOSBox ), and that obviously won't work. I doubt the DOSBox readme spells this all out in a way that makes it obvious to new users what exactly they need to do.
