I have one actually, it's an interesting little card and my first 3D accelerator but unfortunately you can't keep everything. 🙁
Maybe in the future I'll eBay it.

You have no fee PCI slots to keep it warm? 😒

My fabulous free PCX2 from Keropi (my hero) is kinda neat. I played MechWarrior 2 on it for quite a bit. It is kinda buggy though, with visual issues occasionally like texture filtering oddities. The fog is cool but it doesn't seem to get used for very many maps.

Hello at all forum user.
One question; is much more difficult to find the Apocalypse 3d (pcx1) ...or the Apocalypse 3dx (pcx2)

I have now two card nec boxed; Apocalypse 3d (pcx1, 1996) and Matrox M3d sealed (pcx2, 1997)
if yours want make photos and post it.

The PCX1 is pretty rare I'd say, I have several PCX2 cards but have never come across a PCX1. Gimme yours. 😁

I have a Motorola Droid phone, given to me by my bro. I'm not much into the "smart" phone thing but the Droid is cool because it has lots of neato things like wifi, GPS, compass, PowerVR SGX 530, etc, etc. It's my new mini internet appliance basically.

Anyway, I've tried a bunch of 3D games on it. Quake 2 runs very well but it's impossible to control by touchscreen. The graphics performance of the PowerVR chip in it feels similar to a TNT2 maybe. It's hard to judge because it's probably CPU limited and it's also only running about 640x480. I also found a Hydro Thunder ripoff and a game that's sorta like Wipeout/Extreme G. Lots of nifty games on that Android marketplace.

That reminds me of how my old modded Xbox can run Quake 2 at 1280x720 with 4X MSAA. 😉 I bet you guys can't name too many real Xbox games that do that. 😁 It tends to lock up occasionally though, I think because it runs out of RAM. Shared 64MB doesn't go very far.

Had to bump this, because I've been craving a Neon 250 for quite some time now (just for s**ts and giggles and seeing how well it works with games released a year or two after it; not to be used as an everyday gaming card). Besides being released late to market, it only supported MiniGL (while other manufacturers supported ICD). Never been able to find one on ebay, guess they are pretty rare.

Maximum PC review: (though poorly written IMO and some typos)

I also almost bought a Matrox M3D back in the day because of its cheap price, but I decided to save up a bit more and get a Voodoo instead.
