I've just opened a package from a guy on another forum which was "a bunch of ISA sound cards, and a VESA video card"
Just wondering if you lovely vogonians could tell me if they're any good?
The first one is a dupe of another ISA card I already have, a Creative CT2800. It's a Vibra16S with a real OPL3 chip on it.
The next one is a CT2960, Vibra16C. Doesn't seem to have a Yamaha chip on it, but curiously there's a connector called "Gold Finch" ???? Any good?
Next is an ESS ES688FC. It has an IDE interface, and a jumper labelled "Sound Effect Upgrade". Any good?
Last is a VLB video card, labelled Cirrus Logic CL-GD5426. Good performer? It appears to have a multi I/O card built in, as there are headers for serial ports, floppy drives, etc...
