I don't see a problem with this because creative were assholes (and still are... remember the audigy fiasco?) and won't let anyone easily get replacement media for ones they lost... or any cheap/free upgrades for that matter

I made major progress with a new version of the collection CD I am working on.... it's still 16-bit sound blasters only... I had to cut the CD audio portion of the disc out and convert them to MP3 instead... this time I was able to rip the AWE32 and AWE64 tracks also... combined they are still about 100mb less than having the 10 CD tracks that are original to the SB16 CD

I hacked the front end menu program that way you can choose most of the programs to be installed... I tested and made it work with NT4 also... you can finally install the apps/utils in NT4 using the newer (1997 or later) AWE64 Win95 install disks... it won't install drivers, just the apps... they Mixer Control displays correctly now too unlike the earlier version just copied and ran in NT
I also included the CT1730 floppies, the OEM floppies (which are very different from the retail ones), and newer versions of EZ-SCSI lite (4.x and 5.0, which were never included with SB16 SCSI-2... but for the sake of allowing better compatibility with the later vintage OS's, I have included these hard to find disks also)

Generic Panasonic CD-ROM drivers are finally added because of how hard they are now to get, MILES drivers are now included also
other additions included the various useful/relevant utils off of the creative BBS/FTP which no longer exist (had to track down mirrors)nội thất fami nội thất 190, noi that faminoi that 190
http://www.noithat-fami.net http://www.noithat190.net.vn

There's many other changes I am forgetting... this has taken many edits of the ISO and testing on my vintage (but not really working) machine as well as in virtualbox.... I'm please to say that this disc will become a masterpiece and will be really useful/functional to all Happy It is close to complete... I am now waiting for additional bundleware from Galahad on quest studios

Also, looking for the CT1750/CT1759 install disks to include if possible... anyone have those or can find it? I found some many years ago from some site... I think it was drivershq, but it was in french... I'm looking for the english version only

Currently, the ISO is 594MB... actual data is 643MB at the time of writing... will get bigger soon... I will pack this with as much crap as I can onto a CD.... it will be way more than 700MB as it will be optimized... many duplicate files will just simply be crosslinked to one location, which has so far saved about 40MB of space

I am now asking on the behalf of TheMAN, does any one who roams these forums have the retail drivers of the SB 16 MCD ? Cause TheMAN is looking for the NON French retail drivers for that particular card. And Malik, remember things will never be final. I am making the final and last (for now) download mirror of an iso, I thought I already had done. And that iso file is Sound Blaster Live! Applications CD, so I think it is soon time for a re edit of your post.

Glad to hear that this is not the "final" update. True, good stuff is never final! Keep 'em coming, folks! 😁

WolverineDK's mirrors updated.

Thread Title modified.

Well, some body has picked up some of the stuff, we have already "released". or should I write re-released ?

Well as I said, the project will probably never be complete. But close to, and maybe Malik will do the first part of a hard work, and then I will be making upload mirrors of the stuff ? anyway cool find 😀

better late than never.... remember the SF 2 and 3 CDs I found on dogskin.net? well the dude finally replied and he says he doesn't have the CDs, those are just pics he has.... ok, well thanks anyway man!

BTW, I downloaded the ftp://78.153.157.21/iso/awe64gold_soundfont_cdrom.iso.rar file. After having a look at the included readme, it appears that those CDs were the same as what EMU was selling at the time. Back in the day, I had bought the "Developer's Choice Pop, Rock, and Jazz Collection Volume 1", "Multimedia Collection Volume 3", and "General MIDI Collection" CDs; and there are soundfonts mentioned in that readme that are included on those CDs (as well as the names of the CDs themselves). All of the sample soundfonts included on that CD1 appear to be ones on the previously sold EMU soundfont CDs.

BTW, an email sent to me refering to the CD II:

So I found a photo of "SoundFont CD II" box in mentioned old brochure. The text next to the photo says:

SoundFont 2.0
Extra instruments and sound

Add beautifully crafted instruments to your Sound Blaster with a SoundFont 2.0 CD. It contains 30 SoundFonts sampled from actual instruments. The CD also comes complete with Vienna SF software and MIDI orchestrator, plus sequencing software. (Additional memory required for use with SB32 and AWE32 sound cards).

Heh, my "Multimedia Collection Volume 3" CD has 30 (random/various) soundfonts on it 😀

The other two mentioned in that readme, "Guitars, Drums, & Synths Volume 1" and "Traditional, Voice, & Keys Volume 2", I had never bought... but they were part of the collection of soundfont CDs that EMU was selling at the time.

Anyhow, I think that sheds a little light on the mystery... apparently, the CD1/CD2/CD3 were simply soundfont CDs that EMU had (previously?) released.

so you mind volunteering yourself to tracking all of those down? 😉

vienna and MOP don't matter, we already got those (in fact, got all versions of vienna)... the sound fonts would be nice 😀

The "Guitars, Drums, & Synths Volume 1" and "Traditional, Voice, & Keys Volume 2" CDs I've NEVER been able to find (and AFAIK they're not sold anymore by EMU).

The "Developer's Choice Pop, Rock, and Jazz Collection Volume 1", "Multimedia Collection Volume 3", and "General MIDI Collection" CDs are do-able though (as I have all 3 CDs).

The "Developer's Choice" CD will be large though (I'm guessing 350 megs or so), but the other two would be fairly small 😀

There was also another that EMU released, the "Liveware ESC SoundFont Library" soundfont CD. That one is still being sold AFAIK, but years ago Creative Labs offered them all for download (in small weekly releases) on their web site (used to be http://www.sblive.com/liveware/goodies/soundf … f_previous.html ).

well just put them all on 1 DVD or 2 CDs
an overburn CD can be 722MB anyway
my drivers disc is 718MB as it stands... unless some miracle happens that I get the SB16 multicd disks I'll take it all the way to 722MB 😉

Get 'em while they're hot (i.e. mirror them while you can!)

http://rapidshare.com/files/452148923/EMU_Gen … _Collection.zip
http://rapidshare.com/files/452149494/EMU_Mul … on_Volume_3.zip

I'll upload the "Developer's Choice" one later on (ISO-ZIP will be "EMU_Developers_Choice_Volume_1.zip", 290MB)

Get/mirror it while it's hot, the "EMU Liveware ESC SoundFont Library"!

Note that all of the soundfonts have been compressed using Megota Software's SFPack version 1.0.0.4 (which is also included in the archive). This resulted in a ZIP that was 121MB smaller 😀

Other tidbits of interest in the archive:

"Liveware ESC SoundFont Library.jpg" - Little splash logo pic.
"Liveware ESC SoundFont Library.pdf" - Manual and info sheet.
"Liveware ESC SoundFont Library.txt" - General information.
"Liveware.ins" - Cakewalk Pro patch name lists for all included soundfonts.

...and YES folks:

I actually *DOWNLOADED* all of these (not SFPack compressed) soundfonts back in 1999 when they were freely available on Creative Labs' web site... ON A MISERABLE DIALUP CONNECTION 🤣!

Also, I was STILL using Windows 3.11 WFWG (on my 486 box with my AWE32's), so's the long filenames were a complete and *TOTAL* PITA (open "Liveware.ins" in WinDoZe Notepad) <grin>.

Anyhow -> http://rapidshare.com/files/452162446/EMU_Liv … ont_Library.zip 😀

A-OK, thanks for the mirroring 😀

Hopefully later this weekend I'll get around to the "Developer's Choice Pop, Rock, and Jazz Collection Volume 1" CD (zipped ISO is around 290MB).
