So why not use it for the greater good ? But we are only in the VERY beginning of it all, and yes there will be a firewall protection. So the server won't be a zombie attack machine. But I will of course let you all know about that when it becomes total reality upon that subject 😀
Sure, Wolverine! And while in the process of it, I would prefer to make the files available in both, individual and bulk formats. Maybe easier for those who want to download only what they want. But I'll leave that to you guys to decide and how you want to upload these there! Great Work! Thanks! 😀

Just a little tidbit/goodie for the Sound Blaster Live! control panel applets when running under Windows XP (dunno if it works under Vista or Windows 7 though).
Simply unzip the included "Ahqrun.exe.manifest" file to your "AudioHQ" directory on your hard drive (probably "C:\Program Files\Creative" or something like that on your PC... on mine I've installed the software to "C:\SBLive\AudioHQ"); or wherever the SBLive "Audio Headquarters" executable ("Ahqrun.exe") is located on your hard drive.
This "manifest" file will change the look of the SBLive's "Creative Keyboard", "Device Controls", "EAX Control Panel", and "SoundFont" control panel applets to look a little prettier... that's all it does, simply a little eye candy.
Included is a screenie collage showing before and after versions... sort of like those "anti-wrinkle cream" commercials that you see on television all the time 🤣! 😀

It seems to me, when the VCF moderators are picking their nose, then nothing is happening.. but if "you" suddenly curse and swear. Then "suddenly" a back-seat moderator wannabe pops up and plays the intellectual bullshit card, and talks about how ones English language is no good, because you curse and swear in British English. Because the member is not a moderator, but just wants to point out, that educating people in English is not my job, and also my deliberate cursing and swearing (that he was not aware off before I mentioned it in my second reply to the thread) was deliberate. So maybe now they will edit out the old linkings of the posts, or else I really do not give a flying fuck about the thread over at VCF. I know I am normally not a troll at all, but if you have to make a bad language post to some times get heard through the bullshit, and stillness of a forum. Then I will do it. Even though I am not a troll.
Am I missing something here? Last time I checked, this is a SB driver thread not a bitch about internet drama thread which no one will give a shit about either.

The difference between bitching and what not. Is that here you can edit your post, as long the thread has not been locked.
Malik: I have some good news, the first step in the whole "server business" has been taken. I bought a machine today that could be used as a server in the long run. The other stuff, such as setting it up and what not will be under its way. So I will keep you updated on the work of it.

Great, Wolverine! Thanks a bunch! 😁

Best of luck with this project. 😀 It's good of you to offer this service to the retro hardware enthusiast community.
I will tell you all more, tomorrow. That is what I can say for now, cause the second step is upon its way. I know I am being secretive, but like many other people who work for the greater good. Then they start in secret because they do not know what the future will bring. But I promise you all, I will tell you more . When it happens 😀
Second step is halfway done. I will give you and update, when that step is done 😀
Well, even though step two is done, I must say something I really do not know. When the server is up and running, cause my friend who promised to help me, has gone AWOL, and he has been a douchebag . I have just bought a domain name, and the plan is/was to get the server up and running . But right now it is on hiatus, and the reason is simple. My friend forgot that he had an appointment with me , either Sunday or Monday (during this week). It is not the thing about him forgetting his appointment, nope it is that I have experienced it before with him. And that is why I am pissed about it. So until further notice, the only way to get the files will be via the upload services, that I am using. If I can get my brother-in-law to help with it, then I will be thankful for it, cause right now I am pretty disappointed in my friend. Who promised to help this Monday.
No, problem. We appreciate a lot what you're doing, Wolverine. It's alright if it's taking a long time, or even if it's not successful. 😀
WolverineDK, how is your server project going? I am about to test a Creative AWE64, and I have the original CD-ROM that came with it. I think it would be good to upload this CD-ROM for other AWE64 owners. If your server project is nearly ready, do you want a copy of this CD-ROM? If your server project is not ready, does anyone else want a copy of this CD-ROM to put on to their server, so that other AWE64 owners can download it?
Edit: I see in one of Malik's earlier posts that this CD-ROM is available for download. However, I will be testing lots of hardware over the coming months, and I have lots of driver CD-ROMs which could be uploaded to a "central drivers" website...
retro games 100: the server is going VERY bad, cause the used hardware (the pc) I bought has faulty hardware (probably bad internal graphics card), so it has come to a halt sadly. For now anyway. But I will gladly reupload the diskette image. If you make an image of it. TheMAN became a bit annoyed the other day about why I have not posted any news about the server. So now you are all updated up to scratch . And it is an exxpensive "hobby" we have when it comes to the server. So maybe I should buy another used (but this time working) machine. That will fucking work.

As an AWE64 owner who just used TheMAN's ultimate cd the other day I can assure you it's a functional path to get your AWE64 working. Just select the last checkbox in the autorun splash first then proceed. (otherwise you'll get errors of the awe64 driver not loaded for anything extra)
And for fun's sake, I installed the SBLive app suite too. Gotta love the annoying Creative Launcher, the spywarey Creative News Updates thingy and the Winamp-wannabe 😀
@WolverineDK: OK, thanks for the update. Shame about the hardware. Your project appeared to be going well, at one point. Anything we can do to help troubleshoot it?
@leileilol: Thanks a lot for the recommendation. I have DL'd TheMAN's .ISO file...
retro games 100: not unless you live extremely close to the country Denmark. But as I said, I have NOT given up upon the project, it will just take extra time.
retro games: please share your AWE64 Gold ISO. It'll be nice to have part of the collection. I compared what's on my "super" ISO with your screenshots and it appears the only things missing are TextAssist and VoiceAssist in the AWE64 installer. No big deal with my "super" ISO because both of those apps are available as separate installs in the ISO 😉
If you look in the "misc" folder of my ISO, you will find ALL of the updates for these cards. You won't have to waste time looking online for them. You won't find anything newer. I have already spent the time for *you* looking for all the goodies. 😁 There are newer versions of Vienna also. Just look in the index files and you'll figure out what's there.
Sure - I'll get this organised. 😀
Edit: BTW, the "photo link" download address for "Sound Blaster AWE64 Installation CD : (Click on the picture to go to the link.)" is incorrect.
