Can DOSBox be used on a network where the counter workstations can access ISAM data files on the backroom computer hard drive?

Oh dear, another IT support "specialist".
The answer is: depends.
Depends on what factors?
I can supply more details.
DOSBox is intended for games. Nothing else.
We have had success with Btrieve (an ISAM style database), just with simply mounting the standard drive mapping and running the program. I'm using the Megabuild (h-a-l-9000), and everything was run straightforward, with minor tweaks in other areas. I then added a command to mount the F drive...
mount f f:\{program directory}
From here, I ran the batch file that we used under WinXP... which was simply to load btrieve with it's normal parameters, then load the program itself. Seems to be working OK, with a few minor hiccups that are not network related.
Seems to be working OK
"Seems to" equals to "it can do anything, especially looking working for some time".
Just curious, how long of experience would you like for me to have with it, before I mention my experience with DOSbox?
None will suffice, if you're using an emulator targeting games for running business applications, your first step was already wrong.
