I had version 0.73 running an application called Q&A which is a dos databasing application but once loaded I couldn't seem to load any new files added all I could only see were old ones that when searched for via the windows search on the c: didn't exist so I couldn't drop the newer files in the same folder with them 😖

I tried using version 0.74 but this doesn't seem to recognise the application at all so a little confused

I'm happy to keep using 0.73 if only I could find out where to save the files I need to load into the database

Any help would be much appreciated

Unless you have more specifis of where the app looks for data we can't help.
Also next time post in the dosbox forum.
That 0.74 doesn't find it is a mounting issue (as is your original problem most likely)

The app is looking on the c: but only finds non existent files but can access files on the network no probs which is fine if i'm in the office but most of the time I need to use it at home

0.74 says everything is mounted fine I used MOUNT C C:\QA4 command and it didn't come back with any errors, the files are there if I do a DIR but they just don't load

Please punctuate your sentences. It is very difficult to read your posts if you do not use any periods.

Most applications do not expect to be running from C:\ . You should put your application in a folder like C:\BLAH\QA4 and then use "MOUNT C C:\BLAH", followed by "CD QA4".

I do not know if that will solve your problem, since it is difficult to understand what your problem is.
