best you follow the 60 seconds guide 60 seconds guide to getting your game to run in DOSBox
The games can be copied from the Ultima Collection (if you have that). U7 needs ems set to false in dosbox.conf. All Ultima games work fine in Dosbox (except u9 of course). Alos read the dosbox readme for what to do when a game is too fast.

cd folderName

where "folderName" is a sub folder on the CD-ROM. "cd" stands for change directory

Hehe, I think you need to read some kind of "DOS quick start guide".

cd ..

That goes up one level.

Just as an idea - you could click here to go to the mobygames ultima series page, and then click on the DOS game titles that you have, and then click on the "tech specs" link on the left hand side. It should list what sound cards are supported. If it lists something like Roland LAPC-i or MT-32, etc then the game will have music.

If it says PC Speaker, then it's unlikely it will have music - if it does, it will suck! Eg, I looked up Ultima 3, 4 and 5, and they all list PC Speaker. So, probably no music. I also looked up U6, and it listed music sound card hardware. Yes, I remember, I tested this game's music on a GameBlaster - sounded quite good! 😀

Edit: PC Speaker music sounds like beeps. Primitive, but it is music. So, I was incorrect above when I said that if the game only supports PC Speaker, the game won't have music.
