The title says it all. Being an old-school RPG fan/gamer I miss

- Black Isle (Baldur's Gate: the hound of shadow was cancelled)
- Troika games
- Interplay (Fallout: Van Buren was cancelled)

- Horrorsoft (I really liked Call of Cthulhu: Dark corners of the earth ->Destiny's end was cancelled)

- Sir-Tech. Mostly for "Jagged alliance series". Someone was developing a new installment but it seems it never came out.

I know I left out a lot of them.

How has anyone NOT mentioned Bullfrog yet? :O

And yeah, I miss Origin too... and Looking Glass Studios. Why do we still not have a third System Shock game? :/

Spectrum Holobyte - The best combat flight simulations avaialable at the time (Falcon 3.0), and the BEST Tetris game ever released (Tetris Classic -> http://www.tetrisconcept.net/wiki/Tetris_Classic ).

Looking Glass - Terra Nova, the most underrated game ever released IMHO.

BAO (Bruce Artwick Organization) - The best addons for Microsoft Flight Simulator back in the 90's.

subLogic - Developers of the first flight simulator (before Micro$lop *STOLE* it!), and numerous addon sceneries (see below for a few "tribute" pages) for Flight Simulator 3/4/5.

Activision

remember when they developed games? The games they developed were good games. except that last one. then they stopped developing games.
I miss the Activision DEVELOPER. the publisher can go to hell, though

Origin would be the one I miss the most, followed by Looking Glass Studios.

I hadn't seen mention of Accolade yet. Star Control II was their best game in my opinion, but I also enjoyed their point and click adventures - Les Manley Lost in LA and Les Manley Search for the King as well as some of their sports titles such as Hardball and Mean 18.

SSI with their gold box RPGs, Eye of the Beholder series, and many more.

Microprose was another. I wasn't much of a flight sim fan, but Master of Magic, Master of Orion, and Darklands were titles of theirs that I played.

Westwood - Lands of Lore games and original Command and Conquer.

Mindcraft - Magic Candle 1-3 and Bloodstone

Eye of the beholder = WESTWOOD

I think SSI was not the developer.
