I have in mind to put 95 onto my 386 rather than try to find/buy wfw3.11, as I already have 95. System has 4mb ram, 386dx33. 4mb is a bit low for 95, but I can upgrade to 16mb or 32mb max on this board.
Will 32mb make any difference over 16mb?
Does it matter which version of 95 I have - mine has usb support I think.
I also have an issue with the cf drive which I transferred my dos/3.1 installation to. My 386 will boot dos/3.1 from this. But when I try to install 95 I get some message about the hard drive format/structure/whatever being incorrect when it does its pre-install checks.
I doubt there's much I can do about this, but if I set up another cf drive, is there any way to avoid this problem?
I'm assuming it's something to do with bios settings for the drive.
