The trouble is that the setsound freezes in the install process, burnout.cfg is not created. So the game can't find the cd.

Any advice?

Ok, the workaround had been founded.
Burnout.cfg had been created manually. Content is "D: C:\BURNOUT\". D: - cd-rom drive letter, C:\BURNOUT - the installed game dir.
Still, if someone know how to do the install in the proper way - please tell.
