Is anybody able to run this version of the game in DOSBox, regardless of the machine architecture? I'm getting a cwsdpmi stacktrace (tried r5 and r7):

EDIT: nevermind, the support files were missing, the game starts up fine now. Still, it crashes at the character generation screen, maybe more files/directories are missing? Anyway, version 1.90 seems to work fine.

You could try different cputypes maybe that helps for stability. But if the dpmi files are missing
it by times means it was only tested on win95 and crashes on real dos systems the same way
as in dosbox.

Was able to get the 2.10 version working beyond creating the save slot with memsize=31, but didn't test to see if it remains stable through the game.

Still having some crashes, seems to have something to do with moving the mouse around near the edges of the screen. I think I remember having seen another Allegro game with the same problem...

Could it be the CWSDPMI itself? Try a diff one if you got one.

And yeah, allegro leaks like hell a lot. I stopped using it for my own stuff

Crashes on me when trying to activate the menu with a mouse click using CWSDPMI (r5), but it appears to work fine with HDPMI32.
