I've been playing Pandora Directive in DOSBox, and in static screens (such as puzzles, or the save screen), the music is rather slow and choppy.

... Unless I'm holding a key or a mouse button down. When I'm holding one down, it's fine. That's the weird thing about this.

Does anyone have any idea how or why this could possibly be the case? It seems extraordinarily bizarre to me.

Apologies for posting in the wrong subforum!

Anyway, here's some more info that might or might not be relevant:
I'm running this in DOSBox 0.74 on a Dell Inspiron One (so basically laptop hardware). I do have the TEX4.exe patch that's floating around the 'net. A copy of the .conf file I'm using can be found here: http://pastebin.com/0nD1LD1K

DOSBox is already set to a fixed cycle count, if that's what you're saying.
