Just got the game running and I'm really lovin it. But I thought I had read somewhere that people still play online? But I'm not seeing any servers come up. It just keeps saying "Connecting to global server..." Am I missing something? I've applied the 1.4 patch..

Maybe you're thinking of the Discovery Mod for Freelancer?

The few servers that are still online ussually have nice guides and big download packs of mods to connect to the server
