Hi again, I'm having seriusly problems to get this mobo working (Unidenfied VL-486).

I only have this info :

I can't get it shows bios or even vga bios. I think It's a memory mather, manual above indicates that only supports 30 pin FPM SIMM with parity (9 chips not 3 chips simms). I tried to get some but without any luck, but It's question of time until I can get correct SIMMs to test this.

I tried my FPM SIMMs with no parity chip, without success.

With a speaker installed, it beeps continously (8 beeps) then stop. Keyboard lights flash at power on and processor (in working order) gets hot...

Any of you have had this mobo? I can't belive it can be so special with memory simms.

Any idea?

unless i'm drunk, but 8 beeps on an ami bios board is memory error. Aparently it wants those 9 chip 30 pin simms.

Yes I know, It's a bit temperamental mobo, I'm trying to find those "ultra rare" simms, it refuse to boot with any of my simms... If I'm lucky, next week I will get that 9 chips simms...

I just wonding you are installing 4 stick in Bank 0 rigth?.
