Yay, finally captured on video - I am unboxing the IBM Palm top PC 110. No actually TWO of them. Actually my favorite 486 notebook. Why?

- smallest notebook ever made by IBM
- First Notebook with CF slot
- IBM's first notebookwith a SSD (Whooping 4 megabytes, yay!)
- First Notebook to allow booting from CF
- First Notebook to allow booting from PCMCIA (I think, if you know earlier ones then tell me!)
- Afaik smallest 486 notebook ever made
- Still today smaller than all "netbooks" (But larger than like viliv N5 and co!)

I think imma make another video showing off how win 95, win NT and so run on this cute machine.

OK so here's the video of the machine in action. I was a bit drunk so i just booted win98 and ran Space Quest 6.

Well as i don't really do much with these after all i guess imma be open for serious offers.

Windows 2000 is not really "great" on these. You can edit the installation files of windows 2000 so you can also install it with 20 MB of RAM. originally it takes at least 32 MB. It generally "works" but as i said it's pretty slow - imho that machine is most fun with Windows 95, DOS or win 3.11, these are really running fast on the machine. Windows 98 is also "OK" but at least with the default options like active desktop and tasks in the windows its a bit slower than win95.

Still very cute machines and cool collectors pieces. Also booting from CF is quite cool as you can have a bag of different CF with you and be like "So what do we run today? OS/2"? Win NT? Win 95? DOS?" that's actually pretty cool to use a CF as the "main HDD".
