According to the Dosbox FAQ, joystick hats only work under fcs emulation, and only one fcs emulated joystick will work.
I'm using oldschool xbox wireless gamepads, and I'd like to map the D-pad to keys. The hat is recognized in the keybind config screen, but it won't work in the game. Currently I can map axes on both joypads to keys.
I'm using linux, and I think I can ask joy2key to send keys to an X window based on gamepad events, but that's an extreme amount of configuration.
P.s, the game is Tunneler, perhaps the best 1v1 splitscreen game for any system, ever.
p.p.s. Ubuntu 12.04, Dosbox .74
