Dear Dosbox users,

I am entertaining a research idea. I love old DOS games and I love modern Computer Science as well.
I am entertaining the idea to somehow combine the two.

The idea is as follows:
run DOSBOX in the background and capture the output of dosbox (whatever is shown the the screen) and redirect this output to a d3d device (DirectX) to be rendered.
Same goes to DirectInput events, capture them and redirect them to dosbox.

However I have not yet worked with dosbox and I have got little idea how to do it.
Any pointers where to start my research is welcome!

Thank you in advance!
