It decides that Game Wizard is active because the DOS and RTC interrupt handlers have the same segment. As a workaround, run the attached program in DOSBox before running the game; it changes the RTC handler address.
I ran into a problem in the game where a bunch of illegal memory access messages appear in the console and then the screen gets messed up. I haven't found any DOSBox settings that prevent this, and loadfix doesn't seem to help. The only solution I have found so far is to use the JEMM memory manager that you can get here. Set xms=false, ems=false, umb=false and then load JEMM in DOSBox like this: JEMMEX NOEMS LOAD
