Pictures from wired suggest there shouldn't be any mechanical problem to replace/service the HDD.

so this 'Non-Serviceable' warrant must be caused by something else.

@ Gemini000 - I guess it all comes down to what games you like. Got a PS3/Wii/DS-Lite/PSP/PS2/SNES/Genesis-2/NGC/N64 with crap load of games (around 500+ not including PC Games). Basically stopped gaming around 2001 and didn't start gaming again till about 2008. Interestingly enough New Super Mario Bros. DS got me to get a portable and then I found all the awesome GBA games. Been playing through alot of the classic Mario/Metroid/Zelda games I missed back in the day. In 2009 I think I spent like 3 grand collecting games and consoles which was quite overboard looking back.

@ Swaaye - Gotta admit that a modded XBox interested me. Hacked a PSP Slim w/32GB microSD and forgot all about it 😉

Crap, don't mean to off-topic this thread though.

Let's see, no backwards compatibility, no support for composite or component output, and you have to pay a fee for playing used games. 😜 While these aren't definite deal-breakers, M$ is going to have a hard time selling me one of these.

I am actually thankful for this. Not only do developers have to compensate for the low resolution, they also have to make sure that the blurry nature of composite doesn't ruin the experience, though the lack of component is really a downer.

Do not refrain from refusing to stop hindering yourself from the opposite of watching nothing other than that which is by no means porn.

I myself am:

* Not buying an XBox One, no matter what
* Not buying a PS4, no matter what
* Not buying a WiiU until the games I'm anticipating come out and review favourably
* Getting an OUYA once I'm ready to start porting stuff :D

I know composite looks like crap, but it can be useful to have in certain situations, like if you're traveling and and the TV in your RV is an older model that only supports composite connections.

Incase you didn't already know why Kinect is mandatory, here's why: http://www.zdnet.com/microsoft-patent-spies-o … drm-7000007102/

I was expecting a better console, not a better TV experience that i can't even use... The should call it XBOX GONE, because quite honestly, the console part (the true Xbox) is literally gone. Well, looks like my 360 is going to last at least a decade more.

No it's not. It's because they want to watch you fap to pr0n and upload the pics to the cloud. 🤣

Now that I know the Kinect is mandatory, I'm definitely not getting one. I'm not planning on getting a PS4 either, as I don't see the point of buying one. Instead, I'm going to wait for the PS3 to become a budget console and pick one up to play all of the exclusives I missed out on. 😁

in some forums, theres suggestion to put connected kinnect in sealed containter to limit its sensoring capability.
I'll wait until somebody post the result on internet.

Or you can put a photograph of yourself sitting alone on the couch in front of the Kinect camera so it thinks you are the only one in the room while you and 10 other people watch the latest film you downloaded.

This is the only time I've been so uninterested in the so called latest gen consoles... I just couldn't get excited over them anymore....

As a fan of the 360, I left watching that conf very disappointed. They did not show anything surprising at all. All this is ending up being is a 360.5
Very minute incremental changes and tweaks. I'm disappointed, but not surprised, by the lack of backwards compatibility. Maybe it will do better at E3.

Either they are gonna show it off at E3 or make every one made.

Make no mistake it is vastly more powerful than 360 even if it may not be as fast as PS4.

But I never did 360 or PS3 because most of my game preferences are on PC anyway. The social tie-ins (lock ins) aren't appealing. And I like mods. I like tweaking. Etc. Motion controls are vastly overhyped. I had a Wii and that got old quickly.

Meh, I am not too fond of MS consoles, since the 360 I had was one of hundreds of thousands to millions that have red-ringed on me, and that alone is deal-breaker to me, and I have had my PS3 since 2007, and it still works as good as I got it on day one, not to mention that the controller is much lighter, and has some decent JRPGs such as Ni No Kuni and Tales of Graces, which the 360 never had, though it had some JRPGs. While Halo sounds good, I much rather play Quake or Heretic on the PC, because FPS games from that era just seem much better to me. Those are my two cents.
