Malik, what a strange combo FDD you have in your 486 system. I saw Epson, Mitsumi and Teac ones, but nothing like yours. What is it?

From your criteria, I have 11 cased "retro" systems. Many are still undergoing changes in my persuit for the best maxed-out systems of various eras. EDIT: 12 - Forgot about the long lost SE/30 in a box somewhere.

Sounds interesting, what exactly means "maxed-out system of various eras", mixing old core-hardware with more advanced cards/drives/Peripherals ?.
To me, finding the right mixture/setup takes a while..., lotta unknown conflicts/incompatibilities arise (i.e legacy ISA cards with Apollo chipset). Only trial and error close you to the "best" setup.

Meaning, a system configured with the maximum amount of L2 cache possible, memory possible, best graphics card within the reasonable limit of a user who still might have still upgraded, best CPU of an era, such as a 5x86-133/4x being the best production socket 3 CPU. Best Socket 7-GXM Cyrix motherboard, is another example. Yes, it takes a lot of time due to various instabilities

I actually modded the black case by spraying it : The Return of the BEIGE! (Pentium II Inside)

Tons of parts but really just 1 (and that one is waiting for a new case).

In my home right now I have 5. 8088-10, 286-16,386-40,P233MMX and P3 1GHz.
I've got also a couple more at the basement. A 486-133 and another that I don't remember what's inside...

edit : 6 at home. I forgot that I have a 1988 8086 clone laptop....

@ Malik - I'm trying to print my own case badges too and working on a monochrome set now. We'll see how that goes.
