Home where I don't work at all. The tv/monitor is a Samsung 27" which I'm still getting used to 🤣.

I’ve been doing a bit of work on my computer area lately, firstly installing an adjustable desk for my wife who works from home sometimes and wanted the option of a stand-up desk. This thing is motorised, so goes up and down at the touch of a button. It’s not a bad setup, although it doesn’t go as low as it was advertised as going. Making sure no cords restricted the movement was also a bit tricky!

And here’s my side of the room. The desk was always a bit shallow to fit a CRT and keyboard on comfortably, but thanks to the chunk of desk I chopped out to fit the stand-up desk in, I was able to make an extension to give me more room to move:

What is that thing in the window?
btw move your pictures to some image hosting site.

That's an air conditioner. They're quite common down in the 'States, and a fair number of people own them up here in Canada as well. They help to keep things cool during the hot summer months! 😁

^ that "window-installed" a/c is not used in EU , that's why I think robertmo asked...
we have split-type ones, main compressor outside and the rest inside the house up in a wall somewhere.... 😉

Great Hierophant, is that an Epson SD-800 combo FDD? And do I see a CF card sticking out of some 3.5" shield?

Also, there's a long hair lying over left Ctrl key of your keyboard. What did you do over there and with whom? 😉

Here's my little computing place. I don't normally keep the blinds up and window open behind my computer desk, but at the moment it's so bloody hot I need to keep as much air flowing through the flat as possible, or else I might overheat. Also, the airflow seems to be doing wonders for temperatures in my computer 😁

Thinking of hanging my speakers on the wall, to be able to fit three screens on the desk. Want to be able to have my retro systems set up there as well. Means I'll have to sacrifice using two screens on my main computer though, but I guess it'll be worth it. It's very nice having one screen for Netbeans and another one for javadoc though.

Aye, yeah, they are dead ones anyway, it's my "dead disc" spindle.
