It seems the latest VirtualBox had regressed the OpenGL 3D acceleration support in their Guest Addons for Windows 2000 making it throw up a bunch of kernel32 errors despite being "supported", so it at least requires XP now.

What's the absolute last version that does with 2000 GL support?

p.s. VirtualBox sucks for gaming since it has constant stutters whether it's accelerated or not, and of course sucks for any Win9X 😀

Maybe it's just a matter of installing an older version of WineD3D?

WineD3D has nothing to do with OpenGL passthrough (guest 3d to host 3d)

Oh, I thought WineD3D was a component of the Guest Addons. I guess not.
